Every year group at the school has a full careers programme. You can see all the details here
Under the Gatsby Benchmarks for excellent Careers Education in schools, it is our duty as a school to maintain records on the destinations (where and what students have gone on to do) of our pupils for 3 years after they finish Year 11 and Year 13. This process also enables us to review and monitor the success of our Careers Programme. The Careers Team tracks Year 11 and Year 13 students’ intended destinations, confirmed offers of learning and actual destinations as well supporting students during their post 16 and post 18 transition. We also track student’s destinations for three years after they leave school. Students may also choose to join our Alumni network and return to Lift Tendring to support students through mentoring, mock interviews or careers fairs.
We take care to support students that have left Lift Tendring and ensure that they students settle in and sustain their chosen post 16 destination. All previous students are able to call or email the Careers Team if they feel unsettled, or unsure of the choices they made.

If your child is 16-18 years old, lives in Essex and is not in education, employment or training, the Essex Youth Service can help with your child’s next steps. The Youth Service can also offer support with post-16 options to young people who are in home education or off school roll from (what would be) Year 11.
