Applications for places at the academy will be made in accordance with Essex Local Authority’s co-ordinated admission arrangements. They will be made on the Common Application Form and administered by the applicant’s home Local Authority.
Any objections to the determined admission arrangements should be submitted to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA)

Applications for Year 7 places must be made through the Local Authority’s admissions process. The admissions round for September 2026 entry opens on 12 September 2025, with a closing date of 31 October 2025. We encourage families to attend our Open Evening to meet staff and explore the facilities. National Offer Day is on 2 March 2026, when parents will be notified of the outcome of their application.
Applications for sixth form are managed directly by the school. The admissions process and entry requirements are outlined in our sixth form admissions policy, available to download from our website. For more information or to arrange a visit, please contact the sixth form admissions team.
If you would like to apply for a place outside the normal admissions round, you will need to complete a mid-year application form through the Local Authority’s admissions website. Once submitted, the school will contact you to confirm the outcome and, where possible, arrange a tour of the school. Please note that waiting lists for mid-year admissions are ranked based on the oversubscription criteria.
If your application for a place is unsuccessful, you have the right to appeal the decision. Appeals should be submitted in writing within 20 school days of receiving the refusal notice. Appeals will be heard by an independent panel, and you will have the opportunity to present your case.
